Nocturne No. 2 (released March 7, 2025) marks the first new solo work since the debut full-length, Lunescapes Volume One (The Satellite Union/Psychic Troubles Tapes 2018) and the beginning of a new volume of fleeting musical forms, to be released regularly and ultimately assembled, as a complete album.
In addition to ongoing solo work and work for film, television & commercial advertising, Jeff is an active music editor, session musician & live performer. Recent & ongoing projects include: Ultraam, Wilde Vier, Primitive Air, Common Prayer, Miracle Whips and XLAMAS, to name just a few. Jeff has also served as both co-musical director & board member for the Kingston, NY based art/music/wellness non-profit, O+.
From 1998-2011, Jeff was a core member of the American alternative rock band Mercury Rev - touring internationally and contributing to some of the band's most critically acclaimed work, including Deserter's Songs, All Is Dream, and others. It was with the band that he gained his first opportunity to write for picture, composing and producing the original score for Robinson Savary's debut feature-length film, Bye Bye Blackbird (2005).
When not in the studio, he can be found in the garden or fly-fishing the legendary streams of the Catskill Mountains.
